What a great idea... it was tested, now it's permanent!




City officials said that the closures — which bar vehicular traffic from Broadway between 47th and 42nd Streets, and from 35th Street to 33rd Street — did result in a 35 percent reduction in pedestrian injuries.

And local business groups have surveyed their customers about the project; reviews have mostly been positive.

I've got one free trip on USAirways. Going to HAVE TO check this out!
