Presenting the Best Actor Award... last year's Best Actress

Jeff Bridges wins Best Actor

Sexy Colin Furth (my favorite guy)

The very popular George Clooney

This gal is a great actress, she knocked me out in Shadowboxer...

Her five minutes of fame knocked this role right out of the ballpark...

Sandra Bullock did try to give Meryl another kiss, but Meryl pushed her off
towards the stage with a "just go ahead and get your Oscar!" motion. Two things
struck me, that Sandra beat out Meryl Streep and Helen Mirren, and that the
little girl who played Precious, was a first time actor, a first time nominee,
and yet was in the company of the greats, Meryl, Helen and Sandra. Like Oprah
said, "Only In America!" How true.

Remember how they always said, "And the Oscar goes to..."
because in the movie business there are no winners, because they were ALL winners?

Well last night there were definitely winners!
For the first time in years and years,
each envelope was opened and they said,
"And the winner is..." I couldn't believe it!
I mean after all that fuss they made about winners and losers, and
making sure they all said "The Oscar goes to..." suddenly this great turn
around. Reminded me about how it was a mortal sin to eat meat on Fridays,
and then one day, it just wasn't a mortal sin anymore. Really brings into
focus the fact that everything is done by consensus, and the rules can
change anytime at all. So your best bet is to just forget the rules and
do whatever you please. I give you permission to do that. :-)

I do love The Oscars, and Hollywood, and films. We create our own reality.
Every day, just like in the movies. Don't ever forget that.
